Both of her instructors in BAMA are very friendly and resourceful to young students like Carrie. They work closely with Carrie on piano skills, as well as music comprehension. "My boys, ages nine and seven, have been taking piano lessons at the Bergen Academy of Music and Art for two semesters. I feel this has been a wonderful experience for my children and my entire family. The quality of their lessons has been outstanding. Both have different abilities and learning styles, and their piano teachers have done a great job of understanding how my children learn and working with their strengths to accelerate their learning. We tried home lessons before going to Bergen Academy, and I have to say that going to the Academy for their lessons works much better for us. Since we have been going to the Academy, my children take their lessons much more seriously. They clearly respond to the professionalism of the directors and teachers at the Academy. My children look forward to their lessons each week, and so do I. It's great to see them improving -- and our whole family enjoys going to the formal recitals.

"BAMA has a great philosophy and method to teach music to young children and provides a parent-friendly environment. During the lessons, including the free trial lesson, our son, Peter, has interacted well with his teacher while being engaged by the violin. The semester-end recital always gives Peter great motivation to show his progress to his family. His teacher is wonderful, inspiring Peter to learn the fundamentals of music in a friendly manner. Overall, we are very happy to be a part of BAMA, and Peter is now excited about the upcoming opportunity to play at Carnegie Hall!

Doug and Xioning's professionalism and management of the Academy.
The've put together a faculty team that is highly educated, accomplished and active in their field of expertise. Also important is their hands-on approach which makes everyone feel part of the Academy. They continuously strive to accommodate complex schedules to help parents make it all happen for their children.
We are thrilled to have Dr. Angela Robinson as our piano teacher. Dr.
Ribinson is nothing short of wonderful. As a musician, she is talented and accomplished; and as a teacher, she is skilled, encouraging and compationate. Absolutely lovely. Our daughter Isabel may not always practice willingly, but she always looks forward to her weekly session with Dr. Robinson."
